Do you ever wish you could go back in time and get a do-over?

While there are no do-overs and we can't go back, we can make the most of the time we have remaining.

Philippians 3:13-14

Brothers, I do not count myself to have attained, but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal to the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Luke 15:17-24 

When he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have an abundance of bread, and here I am perishing with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and I will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.” ’ So he arose and came to his father. “But while he was yet far away, his father saw him and was moved with compassion, and ran and embraced his neck and kissed him. “The son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ “But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring out the best robe and put it on him. And put a ring on his hand and shoes on his feet. Bring here the fattened calf and kill it, and let us eat and be merry. For this son of mine was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.’ So they began to be merry.

Matthew 5:21-24

You have heard that it was said by the ancients, ‘You shall not murder,’ and ‘Whoever murders shall be in danger of the judgment.’ But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca,’ shall be in danger of the Sanhedrin. But whoever says, ‘You fool,’ shall be in danger of hell fire. Therefore, if you bring your gift to the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the altar and go on your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.

Luke 12:13-21

Someone in the crowd said to Him, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.” Jesus said to him, “Man, who appointed Me a judge or an arbitrator between you?” Then He said to them, “Take heed and beware of covetousness. For a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.” And He told a parable to them, saying, “The land of a rich man produced plentifully. He thought to himself, ‘What shall I do, for I have no room to store my crops?’ “Then he said, ‘This I will do: I will pull down my barns and build greater ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have many goods laid up for many years. Take rest. Eat, drink, and be merry.’ “But God said to him, ‘You fool! This night your soul will be required of you. Then whose will those things be which you have provided?’ “So is he who stores up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God."
